Our filigree figures and statues made of copper and brass come from india and nepal. The images and figures of the gods and mascots are all made in small manufactories with lots of love for detail!Typical for these nepalese statues is the editing after the cast when the figures are processed with delicate tools which gives them their characteristic and detailed look. In india the "sand-cast-technique" is used where a three-dimensional model is formed into sand.
Originally these copper and brass figures were not made for decoration purposes. They were merely made and thought as a reminder to the ancient teaching and philosophies and the enlightenment which comes along with learning and especially living these teachings.
